4. Enquiries and Care Arrangements
Submitting an enquiry through our website or contacting us by telephone does not constitute a binding agreement. A care arrangement is confirmed only when Sunholm and the Client have agreed in writing (including by email) on the scope, schedule, and terms of service.
Before care begins, Sunholm will:
- Conduct an initial needs assessment with the Client and, where possible, the Senior.
- Provide a written care plan outlining the agreed scope of service.
- Arrange an introductory meeting between the assigned Caregiver and the Senior/family.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients engaging Sunholm's services agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the Senior's health, mobility, and daily living needs.
- Inform Sunholm promptly of any significant changes in the Senior's condition or circumstances.
- Ensure the home environment is reasonably safe for both the Senior and the assigned Caregiver.
- Treat Sunholm caregivers with respect and dignity at all times.
- Not request services that fall outside the agreed care plan without prior discussion with our coordinator.
- Settle invoices within the agreed payment period.
6. Caregiver Conduct and Standards
All Sunholm caregivers are subject to background verification, reference checks, and a confidentiality agreement prior to placement. Caregivers operate in accordance with Sunholm's care standards and are covered under our coordination and quality review process.
Sunholm caregivers are not permitted to accept personal gifts, loans, or informal financial arrangements from clients or their family members.
7. Scheduling, Changes, and Cancellations
Care schedules are agreed at the outset and may be adjusted by mutual agreement. In the event of a required change:
- Clients are asked to provide at least 48 hours' notice for schedule changes where possible.
- Sunholm will provide as much advance notice as possible in the event of caregiver unavailability, and will arrange a suitable backup caregiver.
- Cancellations of confirmed sessions with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a partial charge, as specified in the individual care agreement.
8. Payment Terms
Invoices are issued monthly and payable within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment is accepted by bank transfer to the account details provided on the invoice.
Pricing is stated in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$). Sunholm reserves the right to revise pricing with a minimum of 30 days' written notice to active clients.
Initial consultations and needs assessments are provided without charge.
